Arthur Johnson, PM (Honorary) Retires Chaplaincy

After 26 years' dedicated service, Brother Arthur Johnson retired his position of Chaplain at Mount Moriah. In 2008, Arthur was presented the very distinguished award of Honorary Past Master, which according to Mount Moriah records, has never been awarded before. With so many year's experience and as an officer who is not in line, this distinguished award was well deserved.

Countless candidates have passed by Arthur on their journey to becoming Master Masons. His unique style and watchful care over each candidate made their experience extra special.

During Arthur's final meeting as Chaplain, the Brotherhood presented him with an inscribed Masonic Bible. As Arthur received the book, he reminded those assembled that he reads the bible every day. Arthur now moves to the position of Chaplain Emeritus, with R. W. Robert B. Ellson, PM assuming the Chaplaincy. This is in addition to Bob's Grand Lodge position of Associate Grand Chaplain for the Central District.

Thank you Arthur for your hard work.
